Postdoc researcher position

for a woman (for a six year term)

As part of a special measure towards increasing female employment in scientific positions, the Faculty of Informatics at the Vienna University of Technology announces a postdoc researcher position for a woman in one of the Faculty’s main research areas: Computational Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Distributed and Parallel Systems, Media Informatics and Visual Computing, as well as Business Informatics (

Duties include research in one of the Faculty’s main research areas (see above) as well as graduate and undergraduate teaching.

Applicants are expected to fulfil the following requirements:

▪ PhD or doctoral degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics

▪ High-quality research results and publications

▪ Willingness to contribute to graduate and undergraduate teaching as well as to secure funded research grants and manage scientific research projects

▪ A research statement (brief summary of past research activities, as well as a convincing outline of planned research activities, and an explanation of their contribution to the scientific profile of the Faculty of Informatics; 5 – 7 pages maximum; incl. abstract)

Postdoctoral assistants are covered by grade B1 of the Austrian Collective Agreement for University Staff and receive a minimum salary of currently Eur 48,766.20 per year.
