The National Science Foundation recently awarded Wolfgang Gatterbauer a Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award for his research proposal to develop novel methods to draw conclusions from uncertain and inconsistent data. Dr. Josef Pradler hosted the Ascina Alumni Chapter Vienna and colleagues for his talk entitled "A Brief History of the Dark Side of the Universe" at the Institute of High-Energy Physics of the Austrian Academy of Sciences on April 6, 2016. MR Mag. Stephan Neuhaeuser from the Dept. for International Research Cooperation in the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy joined us for this interesting event. Das Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Wirtschaft (BMWFW) ermöglicht es ASciNA, sehr renommierte Preise auszuloben. Der ASciNA Preis wurde 2008 erstmalig verliehen und ist heuer insgesamt mit EUR 25.000,- dotiert.
