Welcome to the ASCINA chapter in the Greater New York Area, which also serves scientists and scholars in Connecticut and New Jersey.
The ASCINA Greater New York chapter comprises of Austrian scientists and scholars based in the tri-state area around New York City. Members of this chapter come from institutions such as the Rockefeller University, Columbia University, NYU, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Rutgers University, American Museum of Natural History, and Princeton University. We meet at least once a month with fellow Austrians for relaxed social interaction and networking in Manhattan. We also regularly publish a newsletter to keep our community informed about upcoming events and to share the newest achievements of our chapter members.
As of October 2023, Lucas Liebenwein und Konstantin Krismer are leading the chapter.
Their predecessors in this position were Christine Marizzi and Claudia Wultsch.
