We are the network of Austrian scientists and scholars in the USA, Canada, Mexico. Our objective is to support Austrian scientists and scholars in North America and to facilitate interactions between Austrian scientists and scholars and international research institutions.

ASciNA collects and uses personally identifiable information (PII) that you submit when you sign up for membership with us.
ASciNA collects and uses this PII for the purpose of providing networking opportunities, for communication in relation to these activities, for informing you about our events, the ASciNA award, our mentoring program, and occasionally about career opportunities and milestones. We also collect and retain this PII to enable you to apply for the ASciNA award and/or participate in the mentoring program.
PII includes among other things, your title, first name, last name, your business address (street, city, state, country, zip code) and e-mail address, your date of birth, telephone number, affiliation, year of graduation, area of study, your website and/or social media links, a photo, your CV or short biography and the ASciNA chapter of which you are a member.
Should you choose to provide us with a short bio and picture, this information will become part of your public profile on our website. Other information, like your address, email, phone number, etc. will never be shown publicly.
You control the data we store through your profile settings at https://ascina.at and https://ascina.org. You have the right to request the erasure of some or all of your PII at any time by contacting webmaster@ascina.at. We do not sell or share your data.
ASciNA is organized in local chapters in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe, and therefore transfers this PII across international borders.
Members can post on our blog at https://ascina.at/news/. Blog posts will display the real name of the author.
ASciNA may use (third party) cookies and other similar techniques to obtain information from you when using the ASciNA website in order to facilitate your use of this website. We do this for the sole purpose to provide you with a better experience when using this website.
