About This Chapter

Welcome to the ASCINA Mexico chapter!

Description

The chapter of ASCINA in Mexico was founded after the Austrian Science Talk in New Orleans in 2009. The network of Austrian scientists and scholars in North America was officially expanded in March 2010 in presence of Ambassador Dr. Alfred Längle. It serves Austrian scientists and scholars in Mexico to support and promote them and to facilitate interaction and collaboration between Austrian scientists and scholars and international research institutions.

The chapter head is Dr. Andreas Kurz who is a professor, researcher and since 2016 Head of the Department of Spanish Letters at the University of Guanajuato, Mexico. Co-chapter head is Dr. Jürgen Haberleithner, an independent Horizon Europe researcher and expert, who initiated the Mexico chapter and was leading it for more than ten years.
