Welcome to the Southwest Chapter covering the five states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
Dear friends and colleagues
Scientists from mostly the Dallas/Fort Worth Area have been meeting here in an informal setting. While it is difficult for many to attend face to face meetings, travel within the 5 states does occasionally permit some of us to meet and stay in touch with each-other. We know of Austrians in all these states and are interested in facilitating contact among our members within the Dallas-Forth Worth area, the chapter and also with members of other chapters. Specifically, there is a pretty active Austrian Club in Dallas as well. While membership in that group is not restricted to scientists and scholars, it has nevertheless proven to be a good anchor for our expat-Austrian scientific community.
We are currently involved in an effort to make our organization better known among the people in the scientific community with ties to Austria and promote this website as a tool of integration for all seeking information or contact.
We cordially invite you to join our online community here in the Southwest. Whether you choose to join our online community or seek to attend our Dallas meetings, we are looking forward to hear from you. Should you be interested in setting up your own group within our chapter, please contact me and we'll help you find members close to you.
Sincerely
Hubert Zajicek
Chapter president
